Our story
Severine Reisp is an award-winning German-American filmmaker and the founder of Reisp Productions.
A former ballet dancer, Reisp brings an intuitive sense of rhythm and movement to her directing — shaping camera work, pacing, and performance with a choreographer’s precision. Her work blends visual artistry with emotional storytelling, creating films that resonate deeply and leave a lasting impression.
Before launching her own studio, Reisp served as a Creative Producer and Director at Christie’s, the world’s leading auction house, where she developed films for Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Nike, and Rolex, and collaborated with cultural icons including Richard Gere and Diane von Fürstenberg. Her experience in the luxury and fashion world continues to shape her eye for elegance, atmosphere, and refined storytelling. Her work at Christie’s earned multiple Telly Awards.
Her portfolio now extends beyond commercial work into theater and narrative film. She has created visual content for acclaimed Broadway productions including Hamilton, Hadestown, The Outsiders, and Stereophonic, with her Hadestown teaser surpassing two million views across social platforms. Her short film Deceive — featuring Dandara Veiga and Marty Lawson, and shot by Emmy-winning DP Wolfgang Held, ASC — explores healing and transformation through the language of dance and has been recognized at international film festivals. Deceive received multiple awards, including Best Cinematography at the Paris Arts and Movie Awards and the Audience Choice Award at the Yonkers Film Festival.
After years as an in-house director and producer while also creating independent projects, Severine founded Reisp Productions to create an environment that reflects her values as a filmmaker — clarity, trust, and collaboration. The studio embodies her belief that great films begin long before the shoot, through open communication and a thoughtful pre-production process that unites everyone behind a shared vision. On set, she works with a select team of trusted professionals, giving each person the space to focus on their craft. This collaborative approach fosters a harmonious flow where creativity thrives and the team captures something truly unique together.
At Reisp Productions, she continues to collaborate with industry-leading filmmakers, cinematographers, and editors to craft visually striking, emotionally resonant, and conceptually distinctive work that reaches audiences across platforms. The studio’s mission is simple: to elevate each story — whether a documentary, a product shoot, a performance piece, or a narrative film — into something unforgettable.
